Sanrio Partners with Dim Mak for Exclusive Anime-Style Collection
Global lifestyle brand Sanrio® partners with Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak for a supercute remix on beloved characters.
Los Angeles, Calif. (December 14, 2020) – Dim Mak, Steve Aoki’s record label and fashion brand, is excited to partner with Sanrio® to announce an exclusive clothing collaboration that will feature popular characters like Hello Kitty®, Pochacco™, Keroppi™, Badtz-Maru™, My Melody™, Monkichi™, and Chococat™ in a unique new collection.
Growing up in Southern California during a period with limited Asian influences, Steve Aoki sought to learn more about his Japanese culture through anime and manga. Anime eyes convey emotion with unique levels and depth, so he was curious as to which iconic Sanrio characters could tell us more about themselves just by showing us their eyes for the first time.

About Dim Mak
Dim Mak, the record label and fashion brand founded by two-time Grammy-nominated producer/DJ Steve Aoki, is for the uninhibited adrenaline junkies and lovers of the punk skate LA-subcultures Aoki thrived on during his youth. Referencing manga, music, nostalgia, and gaming, Dim Mak is a brand that cultivates community by bringing together collaborators while bridging people from all walks of life. Aoki named his record label and subsequent fashion brand “Dim Mak” as a nod to Bruce Lee’s signature fight move: the touch of death. The name itself acts as a constant reminder to stay focused and to forge his own path. “Do it yourself...by any means necessary.” www.dimmakcollection.com
